Starting August 8, 2022, guests staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel (Grand Californian, Disneyland Hotel or Paradise Pier) may enter the park 30 minutes prior to official park opening. This isn’t the same as when guests are allowed in 30 minutes early to line up at Rope Drop.

The typical hours for Magic Kingdom’s are 8AM or 9AM to 10PM or 11PM, but hours vary even beyond that, and one day (January 31) has a 4:30PM close. On nights where Magic Kingdom hosts an After Hours or holiday party event, the park may close earlier than other days.

It is so much better to arrive early and take a mid-day break than to arrive late and get in line behind everyone else. During summer months, it is great if you can get to the parks at least 30 minutes prior to park opening, though 45 minutes is better.
